February, 5th-28th, 2010
Victor Vasarely has been one of the biggest visionaries and artists in the XX century. He is claimed to be the father of the movement “OPTIC ART”, in short “OP ART”.
In the sixties and seventies his optic images have deeply influenced our culture and especially the architecture, computer sciences, fashion and generally the way we see things today. Nonetheless Vasarely has already been renowned during life-time, his constant concern has been the accessibility of art. His motto is: “art for all”.
MiCROTEC innovates with passion the opto-electronical measuring systems for the global wood working industry. The recognition and determination of aesthetic and structural characteristics of lumber, thanks to a variegated technological portfolio of image processing technologies, has been its core competence since its foundation. The art of recognition, and in general of optics, is influenced at the same time by technological progress and visionaries such as Vasarely.
Today MiCROTEC is proud to announce its support to the international exhibition of “OP ART” at the Gallery of Arts in Bressanone. The exhibition has been inaugurated on February 5th and will be accessible to the broad public daily until February 28th.
