In 2008 MiCROTEC presents the very first industrial computer tomography for logs, CT.LOG, in Freiburg, Germany. A revolutionary moisture meter, M3SCAN, a record-speed density meter, DENSCAN, and an evolutionary and EN 14081 certified strength grading system, ViSCAN, are the first of an astounding product transition which the competitors simply can not match.
In 2009, the darkest year of the global economic crisis, MiCROTEC has turned the economic downturn to an opportunity, has enhanced its production building and has acquired a nearby building. The European company is now ready to enter with more emphasis onto the American markets. The CT.LOG, the worldwide first computer tomography for logs, becomes an immediate success: two devices have been already sold to North and South America. The deadline for delivery and installation is set in the second semester of 2010. Besides the quality scanners for boards, GOLDENEYE-702 and GOLDENEYE-706, now also the devices ViSCAN and ViSCAN-PLUS for strength grading have been accredited to the US market. The first full-featured GOLDENEYE-702 has been sold to a Canadian customer and will be installed in april 2010. Meanwhile, MiCROTEC's market share in Australian and New Zealand has been steadily growing, so that the company has permanently sent a qualified technician to Melbourne.
